Ploki jewellery looks beautiful on any occasion, but normally everyone gets confused between kundan, and polki jewellery. Here is the difference between them.
One of the most talked about couples of Bollywood has finally got hitched. Hashtag Deepveer is still making rounds on social media while the would be brides are drooling over their images multiple times. Their wedding fervor is yet to cool down, since the couple has just been with their Bangaluru party the day before. Yes, I am talking about Deepika and Ranveer’s wedding ceremony that has happened at Lake Como, Italy. If you are a bride-to-be and yet to lock in your bridal jewellery, you are on the right post. Read here the sets of jewellery Deepika worn on her wedding functions.
Refreshing Mehendi Look
Deepika’s mehendi look was in sync with her dreamy wedding ceremony. Deepika, the Padmavat actor endorsed a refreshing look for her mehendi. Designed by Sabyasachi, her kurta set was all over embellished and stunning enough to catch flashlights. Her ensemble was topped off with multi-strand, multi-layered navaratan raani haar featuring uncut diamonds, ruby, pearls, and emeralds. This was about Deepika, but what Ranveer wore was groundbreaking. For mehendi Ranveer wore a printed cotton Angrakha and embroidered silk bundi.
Sindhi Wedding Look
As you all know Deepika and Ranveer got married in twin wedding ceremonies – a Konkoni and a Sindhi one. The lehenga Deepika wore for her Sindhi wedding was hand-embroidered and was paired with a dupatta with chowki design. Her dupatta has a broad border embroidered with an age-old saying ‘Sada Saubhagyavati Bhava’. What caught our attention was her huge engagement ring. Her wedding jewellery set was mainly made of 22 karat gold and uncut diamond jewellery. For Sindhi wedding, Ranveer wore a red kanjeevaram shervani. The sherwani was designed by Sabyasachi with delicate golden threadwork. Ranveer, who never shies away from going a few extra miles to break gender stereotype, wore a layered mala of red beads. Not just this, Ranveer was seen wearing a kundan neckpiece in his Sindhi wedding.
Konkani wedding look
Deepika’s bridal jewellery for Konkani wedding was from the Sabyasachi Heritage Collection. While her Sindhi look was slightly extravagant, her Konkani wedding look was slightly different. She was seen wearing a red, rust and gold saree to look just picture perfect. In terms of jewellery she indeed was heavily bejeweled. Apart from an elaborate mathapatti, she endorsed a heavy choker, jhumkas and multi-layered necklace. Her whole set of jewellery was embellished with jadau, pearls and emerald. She opted for a natural make-up and a small red bindi. Ranveer was no less princely in his wedding outfit. He wore a traditional south Indian ivory and gold veshti paired with kurta and angavastram. He also was seen wearing a Mundavalaya.
Reception in Bengaluru
In their plush wedding reception in Bengaluru, Deepika and Ranveer looked extraordinary gorgeous. Deepika was wearing a gold saree which was gifted by her mother Ujjala Padukone. Her emerald choker and matching earrings made her look ravishing. Apart from choker she also wore a long pearl necklace. Ranveer looked dapper as usual in his black and gold kurta designed by Rohit Bal. Man, his embroidered shoes were as fabulous as his kurta.
They are not done yet. And we are assuming that the remaining two parties are going to be extravagant for sure. On 28th November the couple would host a reception in Mumbai along with a Bollywood party on December 1. Now, the fans are excited to see who is/are going to design their outfit in the next two occasions. Continue reading
