If a diamond is a girl’s best friend then imagine what a 128 could do for you?

As much as we’d like to, the truth is that we don’t buy diamonds too often. Yeah, perhaps a pair of everyday earrings or a stray evil eye bracelet once in a while but the bigger, more opulent buys are usually reserved for our wedding day. So if you are looking for that one opportunity to invest in something super exclusive, with literally minimal budget restraints – we have just the thing for you. Presenting Hazoorilal by Sandeep Narang’s diamond solitaire necklace that is crafted wholly of 128 solitaires in different shapes like marquise, pear, oval cushion, heart, emerald cuts, all amounting to a whopping 90 carats. In other words – a masterpiece.

But this necklace that plays a key role in their ‘Solitaire Collection’ is just the tip of the ice. Hazoorilal by Sandeep Narang has close to 60 years of experience when it comes to making brides feel like a million bucks on their wedding day. Launched in 1947, by Hazoorilal Narang and now fronted by his son Sandeep Narang, the brand has made jewellery-customisation an art form. They were also one of the first brands in India to use coloured diamonds and revive age-old techniques like polki and jadau, that are the top choice for brides today.

“Having created couture jewellery for over 20 brides across New Delhi, Dubai and other parts of the world, my forte is creating pieces that are one-of-a-kind,” says Sandeep Narang, who started working in the family business when he was just 18 years old. And although his father has been his guiding force, Narang brings a fresh, GenNext take to the collections. With a loyal client base and a tradition of winning accolades, his only advice to upcoming jewellers is, “Punctuality and commitment will make you thrive,” he says, “But an interpersonal rapport and a genuine smile will take you that extra mile.”

Manish Malhotra’s Latest collection: The Persian Story

Manish Malhotra’s latest collection:

Manish Malhotra opened India Couture Week 2016 in Delhi with an elaborate set with a mirror-finished runway, then the towering potted plants that transported you to the Middle-East.  He created an ambiance befitting a Persian Palace within the soft glow of yellow lanterns walked over 80 models in his couture pieces.

Manish Malhotra’s latest collection ‘The Persian Story’ was inspired by the architecture of the fabled land of Persia. “I have always been drawn to Iranian culture and music so I decided to add a touch of the lost world to this season’s collection,” shared the designer. The drop shoulder blouse has become something of a Manish Malhotra staple on the runway. The lehengas were majestic & opulent and we can guess by the looks—heavy to say the least. There was a touch of the modern bride as the collection did not have dupattas for the heavier bridal lehengas instead an off the shoulder blouse.

Hazoorilal Jewellers by Sandeep Narang partnered with the designer on the jewellery which added to the opulence of the evening. But the final flourish on the show was a line-up by Fawad Khan who played the opening act, and Deepika Padukone in the standout piece of his Persian inspired collection.

Thank you for visiting our Indian wedding site, we hope we’ve helped inspire you for your wedding. Come back for more photos from the catwalk!

What are the 4C’s in jewellery?

My answer to What are the 4C’s in jewellery?

Answer by Shilpi Kapoor:

Hi, thanks for your question. The 4C’s you are talking about are specifically for Diamonds and they stand for Cut, Carat, Color and Clarity. Make sure to specially check all these 4 C’s before you are about to buy a diamond.

Cut:- Every diamond regardless of its shape gets it brilliancy and scintillation by cutting and polishing the diamond facets to allow the maximum amount of light that enters through its top to be reflected and dispersed back through its top.

Color:- A totally colorless diamond allows light to pass through it easily, resulting in the light being dispersed as the color of the rainbow. Colors are graded totally colorless to light yellow. The differences from one grade to the other are very subtle and it takes a trained eye and years of experience to color grade a diamond.

Clarity:- Most diamonds contain very tiny birthmarks known as "inclusions." An inclusion can interfere with the light passing through the diamond. The fewer the inclusions, the more beautiful the diamond will be.

Carat:- As the carat weight of a diamond increases so does its rarity and therefore its price.

I hope, now you do have a fair idea of the 4C’s. For designer jewellery visit Hazoorilal Jewellers Store.
